One among the most famous Sardinian pasta, originated in a small village called Morgongiori. The peculiar handwork does not allows a massive production.

The name loriga (from which cames the diminutive lorighittas) means "ring" and refers to the iron rings fixed into the wall to which the animals were tied.

This pasta is served with rooster' sauce.
